  • well-grounded personnel decisions: There are few other professional contexts in which personal aptitude and suitability are as important as during international assignments or international teamwork. The intercultural potential analyses offered by ICUnet.AG help you choose those employees who are capable of coping most successfully with the challenges of an international assignment or project.
  • targeted personnel development: Using these diagnostic instruments, ICUnet.AG can identify the main areas in which your employees would benefit from training. ICUnet.AG also provides concrete advice on how you can develop your employees’ skills in order to prepare them for intercultural work as best as possible and tailors all subsequent intercultural trainings exactly to the needs of your company, your staff, and your project conditions.

Intercultural Preference Tool (IPT)

The “Intercultural Preference Tool” (IPT) serves to measure and analyze cultural preferences with respect to the business context. The theoretical framework behind the IPT describes seven cultural dimensions, which are especially useful to compare cultures with each other. The participant’s individual profile can then be compared with any of over 50 profiles of different countries, all of which have been identified by means of empirical research. As feedback, every participant receives a comprehensive report that describes the interpretation of his or her results and also gives practical advice.

Test of Intercultural Sensitivity (TIS)

The “Test of Intercultural Sensitivity” (TIS) measures intercultural competency. This construct is described by seven characteristics, all of which play a major role in integration in foreign cultures and have influence on success and satisfaction during international work. Based on the participant’s answers, the certified psychologists at ICUnet.AG generate a 12-page expert opinion. This report also explains the theoretical foundation of the diagnostic instrument and contains a diagram illustrating the participant’s profile.

Intercultural Call Simulation

The aim of the Intercultural Call Simulation is to evaluate the intercultural skills of the candidate in simulated international situations. It also acts an aid to decision-making when choosing personnel.

Interculturally competent behaviour is recorded as part of the call simulation – in particular the type of abilities which are difficult to detect during selection interviews, such as social and communicative skills. The call simulation includes a critical telephone conversation between the candidate and a representative of the respective target culture (e.g. appraisal interview, negotiations, conversation with a customer).

The relevant modes of behaviour and competences are recorded objectively based on specifically observable criteria and put together for you in the form of a suitability recommendation.

Intercultural Assessment Interview

The Intercultural Assessment Interview provides a comprehensive picture of the intercultural potential of your employee. This enables well-founded recommendations regarding suitability when selecting employees operating abroad or expatriates and highlights individual personnel development measures.
