Destination Services
Orientation
One important aim of the orientation visit is to provide your assignees and their families with an initial overview of everyday life abroad. The visit is also helpful during the decision-making process regarding the place or area of residence, so that your employee and their family can “feel at home” quicker in their new environment. House and flat viewing provides the first impression of the living conditions in the host country. It is much easier to organise the arrival in a new environment once you have already gained a first impression.
Home Search
The aim of the Home Search is to find suitable accommodation for your assignees and their families. The personal consultant has culture-specific local knowledge, knows what is available, the market conditions, residential areas and their infrastructure. They represent the interests of the assignee to make sure that their requirements and wishes are fulfilled. For example, the consultant negotiates favourable terms in the interests of the assignee regarding the amount of rent, terms of lease, deposits, rental furniture and domestic appliances, etc.
Settling In
When settling in the assignee and their family will be supported as they settle into the new environment. The consultant is the personal advisor for your assignee and their family and will fulfil their individual needs. They represent the interests of your employee, help during cultural integration and offer support during organisational, administrative or practical challenges in the host country.
School and Kindergarden Search
One of the main concerns of an expatriate family is the optimal integration of their children’s education in the new “home country”. The consultant advises the family in the selection of kindergardens, (international) schools and, if necessary, universities, explains the various options, arranges meetings at the schools and tracks the registration process.
Departure Services
The aim of this module is to support the assignee effectively and efficiently when they return to their home country or when they are sent on to another country. An important part of this service package is support when terminating and concluding the tenancy agreement, including the return of the deposit.
Tenancy Management
As part of this module we deal with regular payments for rent, electricity, water and gas, as well as the management of rent and tenancy agreement matters. Payment can be made in advance from the client to ICUnet.AG or by accessing a cash pool.
Partner Career Assistance
Depending on the personal preferences or the employment laws in the host country it may not be desirable or even possible for the accompanying partner to take up employment. Our individual partner coachings are dealing with the personal role of the accompanying partner. If the assignee is accompanied by a partner who intends to seek employment, the partner career assistance furthermore aims to prepare the participant for the job application process in the respective country.
